Pantyhose Lane Review
PantyhoseLane.com gets its name not from a street sign but from its host, the lovely Asian model Akira Lane. It seems as though Akira is breaking into the business side of the adult world and running sites by herself. Of course you’ll see her posing on the inside along with an ever growing collection of models she has hand picked as worthy of inclusion. The tour is a valuable resource in that it provides free pictures and a strong guide to what you’re going to see on the inside. I’d recommend checking it out before you think about joining.
The member’s home page is being used to advertise Akira’s latest video, at least as I write this review (June 14, 2007). This is useful for fans of Akira I suppose, but not anyone else. It would have been nice to see the latest content updates up front, although you can just click on the What’s New link to find that. New content is added with surprising regularity; in the first seven days of June they added eight content sets, including two video clips.
Browsing the content is a breeze. The easiest way to do so is to visit the models page where the girls are listed alphabetically. There are currently 84 models working the pages of PantyhoseLane.com and almost all of them have multiple galleries and/or video clips for you to enjoy. When browsing the list of models you’re given a thumbnailed photo and a name to go by. Pick out the girl you like best and you’ll be taken to her content page. At the top is a short biography of the model that sometimes includes a story of how she met Akira and found her way onto the site.
Below that are her galleries, which include a thumbnailed preview picture, a description of the action, the number of pictures included, and the date on which the gallery was added. If she has videos you’ll see a small picture, a description, and direct download links. Most picture galleries have 50-80 images with all the thumbnails listed on one page. The full size images are big enough that you won’t be left wanting; although I wish the galleries didn’t open into a new window, mostly because that new window is devoid of the usual taskbar options that come with a browser. Instead of using the normal back button you’ll have to make use of a small graphical button they’ve provided for you. It seems unnecessary, which is the chief reason it bothers me.
The videos come in three formats: small WMV files for dial up users, larger WMV files for broadband users, and Real Player files for those of you that hate Windows Media Player (personally I hate Real Player, but to each his own). I like that they’ve broken each format into eight parts so you can start watching while you wait for the other parts to download, but they should have offered one large clip as well. The large files run at 320x240, which is a little small. They look decent at 200% size, but you can’t possibly run them at full screen.
Pantyhose Lane is a huge site with plenty of content options for members. You’ll have access to well over 200 photo galleries and more than 45 videos. Both content types are equally entertaining, although the videos are just a bit too low resolution for my liking. Still, they’re downloadable and you can play them without DRM restrictions, so you’ll be able to build a large collection. Plus, you get three bonus videos from Suze Randall every month. The best thing about this site is that they update almost every day of the week, providing you with tons of content anytime you want.
